Shopping Centre Sāga invites to celebrate Father’s Day on 8 September by means of active and sporty gathering. The Father’s Day will feature orienteering competition and the Latvian Strong Man Championships final. Throughout the day, it will be possible to participate also in other Father’s Day activities offered by the SC Sāga shops:

• in the shop RD Electronics, the customers will have a chance to participate in a quiz every hour, and every hour two authors of correct answers will receive prizes, water bottles featuring Philips attributes;
• shop Baby City/Toy City will invite children to play board games;
• shop Jahonts will offer up to 50% discount for men’s accessories;
• fragrancy experts from the shop Douglas will introduce the current aromas for the men’s audience by means of fragrant bands;
• in the shop Kafijas Banka, coffee in cups for all fathers with a 50% discount;
• look for various activities also in the shop Komforts;
• sports club My Fitness will give away coupons worth EUR 3 (the price for one visit is EUR 13)

13:00-15:30 – digital orienteering competition. 

A team game involving orienteering and completion of tasks un SC Sāga, with prizes for the fastest and most attractive teams.

To participate in the game:

• form your team of 2-6 persons, at least one of which is an adult;
• file your team application by 4 September HERE;
• develop an attractive visual image of the team: clothing and outfit. Choose the clothing and footwear corresponding to the weather conditions and activities;
• on the day of competition, come to SC Sāga, register inside the Forest Gate from 13:00 to 14:00, receive the tasks and start the game;
• each team must bring at least one charged phone with a camera and QR reader;
• perform the tasks and find the control points inside and outside SC Sāga, SC Sāga+, on the basketball court, wakepark, etc. Game time up to 2 hours.

Prizes will be awarded to three fastest teams that have completed all tasks of the game. Prizes include the SC Sāga gift cards. We encourage considering the visual image of the team because the most attractive and originally dressed team will receive a surprise prize.

12.00 - Klondaika Latvian Strong Man Championships 2024, finals

The strongest men of Latvia will meet at SC Sāga to compete for the champion’s title at the end of the season. The Strong Man finals on the Father’s Day is becoming a tradition. A total of 8 athletes have qualified for the finals, and they will have to perform 9 exercises:

Competitions for spectators will take place during the Championships timeouts where it will be possible to win prizes from the competition sponsors.
