The Father’s Day event near shopping centre Sāga brought together a lot of families. On of the great happenings of the event was the Latvian Strong Man Championships finals! 

The Latvian Strong Man season 2024 is over and the strongest man in Latvia is Māris Krievelis. There were 8 athletes who had qualified for the finals. 

During the final stage, the athletes had to perform 9!!! Exercises, which was definitely a big challenge because, traditionally, six to seven exercises are performed during a competition.

The Klondaika Latvian Strong Man Championships 2024 was won by Māris Krievelis. The second prize was won by the experienced Didzis Zariņš, and the third place by Valentīns Klevinskis. 

After completing 9 exercises, the athletes ranked in the following order:

•    Māris Krievelis

•    Didzis Zariņš 

•    Valentīns Klevinskis

•    Raivis Gintauts 

•    Edijs Krieviņš 

•    Mairis Kopeika

•    Ričards Sotaks. 

Now, there will be a break in the strong man activities. The athletes will have some rest before starting preparations for the season 2025 at the end of this year.
